Courtyard by Marriott Mexicali

Rooms are the cleanest of all Marriot properties. As an Elite guest with them the extra touches were fantastic. At check in it would be nice if they let us know about the Terrace parties the host from 5-10pm since that floor is below the Terrace. It's soooo loud that when we went to see it upstairs it was noticable that the music did not need to be that loud. There is no EV on property or shaded parking for guests. The lot it's self needs to be replaced and the entrance to the hotel was dirty. If they could.improve there it would help. Loved that this hotel does not allow smoking. The hotel bar was great when my husband and I needed a cocktail. Loved the restaurant across the street.

Very nice, rooms. The rooms are very clean and have modern design. In front of the hotel are some small restaurants that are open a bit late in case you want to have some drinks. Love the fact that they have 24 hours of security on site. They also have a terrace with a great view of the city. It was enjoyable at night time.

Arrived to attend an event. The only American hotel around. Luckily it was the Marriott and it does give you peace of mind. It was basic room and clean. The hotel lobby bar closes early. Lobby is small and key card access is only valid for your room floor. No real views but lucky enough that it was clean and met our needs. Staff was very friendly and bilingual. Basic breakfast but Starbucks was next door.

Beautiful rooms, great service, best place to stay in Mexicali.

Overall, I like this hotel a lot but now there are gates to get in and out of the property. In order to exit you need to get a new ticket every time. I probably left 9 or 10 times during my 5 day stay and is was a little inconvenient going to the desk each time to get a slip. They should work with the property owner to have their room keys be able to open the gates. With other Marriott options in Mexicali I may stay at one of them next time. Hotel itself is good but dealing with the gates does bring it down a little.

Great hotel, very well situated. Ample parking. Very pleasant staff especially in the bar area. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Only down side was the mould in the shower cubicle and the broken lavatory seat. Otherwise a great stay.

Modern hotel with decent sized rooms, great views and modern bathroom. Lots of balconies to see the views of the city during the day or night but are restricted to all guests which was a bummer. Very nice open balcony on the 5th floor with a lot of seating, places to sit down and talk or just hangout. Gym is very modern and has sufficient equipment with getting a good workout in if needed. Rooms: Overall I felt the rooms were quite modern and upscale but for a Courtyard and the price I expected more. Very surprised to have a mini fridge and safe in the room. Bed was very comfy and lighting was excellent. Service: Being a Marriott member was a huge plus on this stay. Checked In a day before through the app and advised I would be there 3 hours before normal check-in but actually arrived 2 hours before with no issue or early check-in charge. I also requested a high room on the top floor, extra towels, wash clothes and foam pillows which were all fulfilled by the hotel. Only issue I had was the digital key which I requested a day before my stay but wasn’t processed until 2 hours from checkout which did absolutely nothing for me. Location: Overall location is good but not exactly within walking distance of a lot of things as Mexicali is a hot place during the summer and walking in the heat can get brutal. Within 5 - 10 minutes driving distance, there is a lot of good places to eat, drink or shop at. The courtyard is location in what’s known as the rich part of Mexicali. Atmosphere: Lobby and reception are very small. Was advised breakfast was not included with the price of my stay which was also a shock as breakfast was $18 USD on top of what I already paid for the hotel. The overall feel walking into the hotel did not feel like a Marriott but more like a half ass put together idea.

A very nice and comfortable clean place to stay in. The service is very good and professional. Especially the staff. Very nice, one in particular,by the name of (Valeria) So nice to all the costumers. Definitely will return!!
